Reasons and remedies of dry eye
Dry eye is bothering a great number of individuals every day in the world. This eye condition always causes discomfort and irritation in the eye. It can be fearful when it occurs frequently. Unfortunately, contact lenses use is an increasing factor that almost 50% of lens wearers worldwide suffer from dry eye in differing degrees. Since dry eye can be an underlying problem before wearing lenses, the FDA requires all lens customers to receive an eye test before buying contact lenses in any brand.
The good news is that there are several remedies to dry eye for contact lens users. One is to use lens rewetting drops, which can offer temporary but effective relief. It is advisable for individuals with sensitive eyes to use preservative free eye drops. In order to reduce eye irritation caused by dry eye, wearers can remove their lenses and soak them in lens solutions for a few minutes. This is quite effective when they experience dry eye after several hours' wearing. Another simple way to rewet the eyes is to blink and shut the eyes for a while. This suggestion comes from the fact that many computer users get dry eye because they maintain constant concentration without blinking.
